So far, fantastic typing tutor! All the features that I need to practice touch typing in Dvorak, as well as plenty of fun things to do, while also being very simple. Stamina typing tutor is a real joy.

For Our Daughter
We decided to go with Stamina because of the high praises it got. I'm very glad that we did. The program is fun and teaches our daughter, who is 12, how to type properly. However, I was trying it out the other day and saw a four-letter-word. This is not good and not necessary especially for a program that children might use. I would recommend this program but warn other parents of unnecessary words. This is also the only reason why I rated the Features "Fair".

Wonderful and lively!
Hello friends! I am amazed to see the how lively and effective this tutor is. Not only do you have a set of excercises to improve upon your typing skills, but you also have an SOS in the help section, that tells you where to place the fingers, how to increase the levels in the excercises and so on..all in a very light hearted teacher student interactive mode, though traditional! As they say, the aim is to get the doughnut..and you need to make the ladder lean along the kitchen shelf! I thoroughly enjoyed the tutorial, and it is so lively with sounds and animations, that you will never get bored and will be able to follow your daily 15 minutes dose of typing classes! Have fun, and learn :) Sreejita

Hilarious
On first impression, the entire piece of software appears to be some kind of a joke. However, after 5 minutes of use post trying to read the help file (it was funny, I won't spoil it), something seemed to just click. It is very simple to understand how to operate it, and you should be able to get started touch-typing practice straight away if you have a basic understanding, and if not the documentation will help. The lessons allow you to quickly learn the positions of the keys and which finger to use because of the keyboard guide which lights up when some key has to be pressed, and this guide can be turned off whenever you feel you can go on without it. Sound effects used adequately indicate your failures in typing properly. ---------- Although the software features a graph of progress it is entirely speed based (strokes per minute) and shows either a graph of speed for each session or a graph over time (each day plotted discretely unfortunately). There are no other graphs that one could come to expect such as which key positions are causing the most frequent problems concerning speed, and nothing whatsoever for accuracy. However each typing test that you take has its overall speed and accuracy recorded, and you are able to delete any should you wish to hide them. Also the total amount of typing you have done (in KB) and the time you spent typing it are shown for you. ---------- The keyboard system I have found to be highly configurable, if you have the capacity to deduce the workings of and edit data files. To describe briefly, any custom keyboard layout required you need its Windows internal ID first (can be obtained through the registry should you need a custom one), followed by the phrase list language ID, the keyboard layout lessons ID, the keyboard layout name (shown in menu) and then a sequence of characters representing keys and shifted keys to be shown on the keyboard layout, and any spares are not shown but ARE used in the random characters typing tool. Unfortunately the overall keyboard layout is always the american style, and no third symbols can be displayed. Don't worry though, typing can be done as normal and many different standard keyboard layouts are already in the file for many languages. ---------- Other configurations are of a very high standard. You can create your own set of lessons very easily, and specify external files to type, where a bookmark of progress is kept so you can continue where you left off at a later date. (So I dunno you could type out a novel or something...) Also they system supports multiple users for stats purposes (so you could have different ones for different keyboard layouts for different people). ---------- The built in lessons seem to do the job, and the set of phrases used is generally good, but some of the phrases are very inappropriate - sometimes obscene or just plain sick, just not very funny at all and not suitable for children, spoiling the product overall. And the two line jokes are broken up so they become completely useless. The phrase file for your language can of course be edited but it is a huge list and I think the offending phrases should be removed from the package completely and replaced with suitable alternatives for distribution in later versions. ---------- In just 13 hours of typing I improved my Dvorak typing speed from 160 to 300 almost using only this software, so it is effective and I would recommend it to anyone of a suitable age to appreciate the bad jokes.

It's a very good and useful program! Thank you that you made it! I've had a problem to type with my little fingers, and this tutor helped me to solve this problem. I just can't use BG Phonetic Phrases, because I could't install this application...
